Valentine’s Dismay
Lots of days passed and this one came
Novelties always tend to be the same
Unyielding heart no emotions to tame
This Valentine’s sprung up a twisted game
Wading through sensations never felt before
Loathing feelings towards that oaf like boar
For taking the one thing that I adore
This Valentine’s has robbed me of my core
Lamented about feelings that did not reciprocate
The quirky gestures that you did not appreciate
A thing between us I tried hard to create
This Valentine’s has told me I was too late
Moves and intentions you had to dismiss
Manifested in true ignorance and not bliss
You the one I’ve longed to kiss
This Valentine’s was prove of hit and miss
Every feeling I have has crumbled to dust
The sight of both of you has turn to disgust
What do you see in this person? Or is it just lust?
This Valentine’s I now push from present to past
Just a friend to you I will always be
For a relationship together we’d never see
In the picture frame I wish was both you but me
This Valentine’s I’ve lost a part of me
